From hanging out at their gorgeous apartment to hitting the town, this session was jam-packed with personal details for the couple.
Relaxed In-Home Engagement Photos
I met Kaitlyn and Matt at their home for the first part of our session together. The lobby of their apartment building is just as beautiful in person as it appears in the photos. From the atmosphere the fireplace provided to the looks these two were sharing, this part of the evening wasn’t lacking warmth! Afterwards, we headed into their shared apartment and their adorable cats joined in for a few photos. It doesn’t get much more comfy than an in-home engagement session cozied up together on the living room couch! Kaitlyn and Matt kicked off the evening with sangria and dancing in the kitchen before switching gears.
Elegant Pennsylvania Engagement Session
Once we wrapped up the more homey photos, Kaitlyn and Matt got dressed to the nines for the second half of their engagement session. Can we have a moment of appreciation for Kaitlyn’s stunning Asos dress? I love that it was a wink and a nod to bridal style, perfect for the elegant theme of the latter part of our evening. When you combine casual and glam in a session, clients get so much great variety which means tons of uses for their photos in the long run, and the same goes with locations.
West Chester at Golden Hour
If there’s one tip I really want to drive home for any couples planning an engagement session in West Chester, it’s planning for a sunset session. The way this town glows at sunset is remarkable! We took the road less traveled and explored some of the side roads in pursuit of hidden gems, and it paid off tenfold. The amazing architecture of the city reflected the gorgeous, golden light on Kaitlyn and Matt which added a romantic ambiance you just can’t get at other times of day. Between the design of the buildings and the sentiment behind West Chester being where they met, this location couldn’t have been more perfect for this couple!
Slow Hand West Chester
My favorite way to wrap up an engagement session is with a date night for the lovely couple. Kaitlyn and Matt decided on Slow Hand for happy hour drinks and a few more photos. These two seem so at home with each other and it radiates in the way they look at each other. I know that after they tie the knot in the fall at Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia, a beautiful marriage lies ahead.
