There’s something special about engagement sessions that feel like a glimpse into a couple’s everyday life—the moments that show their authentic connection. Natalie and Chris’s engagement session was exactly that. On a chilly but comfortable February 18th, 2024, in Washington, DC, we captured moments that felt laidback, cozy, and utterly homey.

STARTING AT HOME

We began the day in their charming home, where the natural light spilling through the windows set the perfect tone for their cozy, intimate vibe. Their apartment was full of personal touches. Natalie and Chris spent time lounging together, doing what they love most – cooking together and listening to their record player with their dog, Winston. These moments, where they were simply themselves, were the perfect way to kick off the session.

A Stroll with their Pup

After soaking in their homey vibe, we stepped outside for a relaxed stroll through a nearby park. Of course, their adorable dog (who clearly stole the show) came along for the adventure. Walking hand-in-hand, they laughed as their pup led the way. These photos captured the simple joys that life has to offer.

COFFEE, EVERYONE?

Surrounded by fresh blooms, Natalie and Chris admired bouquets and picking out flowers that matched their easygoing style. It was a beautiful, quiet moment that showed how much joy they find in small, shared experiences. They cozied up in the corner booth, chatting over lattes, with soft sunlight streaming in through the windows. The atmosphere felt warm and familiar, just like their love.

EXPLORING THE CITY

We took a slow walk through some of DC’s scenic streets. Sunset at the Lincoln + Washington Memorials. There’s something about wandering through a city you love, with someone you love, that makes even the smallest moments feel significant. The city’s energy and architecture added a beautiful urban contrast to their laidback day.

EVENING AT THE HAMILTON

As the sun set, we made our way to the final stop of the day: a cozy lounge bar at The Hamilton. They shared drinks and soaked in the warm glow of the evening.
