Picture this – an Intimate Wedding in Tuscany, Italy Mid-September. The summer sun is still strong, but the brisk breeze is ever so cooling. Endless bottles of preservative free wine, truffle everything, & all the pasta you can indulge on. I really cannot think of a more perfect setting for an intimate wedding.
Which is where this story leads us to Ray & Ali. These elements are exactly what drew them to this very location to celebrate their promises to each other. For those of you who know me, or those that can just notice the uncanny resemblance in the photos attached, Ray is my brother. Being asked to help capture his wedding day and officiate their wedding was honestly the biggest honor of my life.
Our day began at our villa at Monte-Chairo Winery. Ali, Katie, and myself all prepped the bride-to-be with our best “wedding day hairstyle” expertise. While Ray readied himself with friends and hung out at the other villa. The sun was shining, the air was perfect, and it truly was a remarkable day. Oh and did I mention just how FLAWLESS Ali looked in her BHLDN Wedding Dress?!
In total we had a guest count of 18 attendees. All ranging from immediate family to their closest friends who flew all the way from California to celebrate their love.
Prior to the ceremony we took advantage of the beautiful property to capture some of the most magical wedding portraits. Shortly after photos, guests took their seats in an open field overlooking the beautiful vineyards. It was time to set my camera down as I gladly put my officiant hat on and married these two kindred souls. As Ray and Ali set off into their married life to the theme song of succession we all shortly joined them at cocktail hour by the pool.
Around tears of joy and glasses of wine, I would pick-up my camera to make sure I could document the most beautiful unions for my brother and now sister.
The night was absolutely amazing. I would recommend an intimate wedding to anyone and everyone. Each guest made a special toast to the newly weds and every single guest danced with one another throughout the night.
After 18 bottles of wine amongst 18 people we can surely say it was the night of a lifetime! We all even made it out to truffle hunt with some pretty cute dogs the next day!
I could have lived in this weekend for a lifetime.
I live for travel and am always happy to follow my couples where ever calls to their souls. If you are looking for a destination wedding photographer, I am here for you. We will plan together, I will be there in high spirits, and am always happy to go anywhere in the world for you!
