Lauren & Marcus Brooklyn Engagement Photos
Where do I even begin to talk about Lauren & Marcus’s Engagement Photos in Brooklyn, New York!
When initially speaking with Lauren & Marcus they had no desire for engagement photos. Nethertheless, I respectfully insisted on capturing these moments, as I had an intuition about how incredibly epic they would turn out to be!
From our first phone call with these two I knew we were a match made in photographer / client heaven. Their creative down for anything personalities with my endless racing mind of ideas was meaning one thing – a day long engagement session!
So that’s how we got here! That’s right – we spent the entire day together and it was absolutely amazing. In preparation to our day together we planned out some fun outfits and talked locations over zoom. I mean we had to make sure the day hit all the best spots!
Hence how we got to such a variety of epic looks for their engagement photo gallery!
We decided to start out the day casually in their gorgeous Brooklyn Brownstone. Just a few months prior, these two had become parents to beautiful kittens. This meant we needed to incorporate time with their kittens at their favorite place, their home.
From there Lauren & Marcus gave me the grand tour of their relationship through Brooklyn, like heading to Do or Dive. This was the very bar that Marcus took Lauren too on their first date. For this portion of the day we had so much fun planning outfits! For outfits we felt like the bar name was somewhat wedding related by being titled “Do or Dive” and wanted to incorporate a bridal look to them that was true to their personalities and styles. Bring in the floral Hawaiian shirts! It’s kind of their thing and I freaking love them for it! To spruce it up Lauren added a long tulle skirt with a vibrant bouquet of flowers and Marcus rocked out in his black leather jacket. They seriously could not look anymore epic in my opinion.
From there we made way to their favorite bar, because this is where their love truly blossomed. We made way to The Holler in Brooklyn. Here I was welcomed by their friends and old colleagues as this was a bar Marcus worked at early on in their relationship. We captured Marcus behind the bar taking care of his beautiful wife to be just like they would have in the past. Played around had a few cocktails and truly made this more meaningful to them.
Then for the cherry on top we ended our amazing day of adventures at the Brooklyn Bridge for sunset. Lone and behold, Lauren and Marcus did NOT disappoint by changing into timeless chic vintage outfits. Lauren with a faux fur sash and Marcus with a dapper blazer and collared shirt.
After such an epic day we decided we need to regain our energy. So we ended our day with shake shack and a drag show bingo night to cap it all off. Talk about the perfect ending to a perfect day!
