As Joy & Brandon started planning their engagement session they wanted to capture their love for vintage and classy aesthetics. We collaborated closely together to curate a session that felt deeply personal and meaningful. Coming up with the perfect day to a wedding planning picnic in the vast open fields of Longwood to then an more editorial high end look to wrap up their evening in the gardens.
As a child, Joy & her family would visit Longwood Gardens multiple times throughout the year. As Brandon quickly became part of their family he too fell in love with this tradition. Upon talking with them and learning more about their times here we decided that capturing their engagement photos at Longwood Gardens would be the perfect location.
To kick off their session we started with more casual summer attire. Strolling hand in hand through the garden’s winding paths, sharing tender moments beneath blooming flowers, ending in an open field to have a picnic. A picnic to wedding plan together.
After the picnic, we wrapped back around the estate to the conservatory for a more luxury styled portion of the session. Joy wore a beautiful white cocktail dress with vintage tulle gloves paired with the perfect sunglasses. While Brandon rocked the socks off his custom-tailored blue suit. These two, per usual, were the definition of elegant. Perfectly complementing the grandeur of the gardens’ iconic fountains and conservatories.
As everyday does, the day began to wane. We chased the sunset out by the fountains. Playing about and letting Joy and Brandon truly have fun embracing their love for each other. This golden hour magic added a dreamy, ethereal quality to the photos. Making the love between our couple shine even brighter.
Knowing that we selected a location so important to Joy & Brandon, I know they will cherish these forever. I cannot wait to revisit Longwood Gardens with Joy & Brandon for years to come with the family the build. Every photo captured the essence of their love story, a story curated with intention, warmth, and will be something they can cherish for a lifetime.
